Colonnade recently sponsored a team from the Mkombozi centre for street children in Tanzania in the Tallow Oil Touraid Cup 2008. The Touraid charity brings underprivileged children from around the world together with children from host schools in the UK to play in a Rugby tournament – the tour lasts a week – the friendships made will hopefully last a lifetime. A team of volunteers from Colonnade are visit the Happy Child Mission in Brazil from 31st October to 7th November for some hands on work– they will be painting, decorating, cleaning, gardening and doing other maintenance work at the homes provided by Happy Child as safe havens for the street children in Brazil – please visit the Happy Child website for more information on this wonderful charity www.happychild.org
